House, M.D.

They keep airing, like, marathons of this show on USA. I hate police/medical procedurals...this one has me thinking that any second my organs are going to die.

  1. I agree, it would seem to me that house is a bastardization of the M*A*S*H* idea, I am too good to fire, so I can get away with whatever I please. However instead of pointed insight and clever humor, House relies on shock and awe, specifically how much of a dick can Hugh Laurie be to his patients and staff. Although at first I was entertained by this narcissistic and frank comedy, it quickly grew old to me and the rest of his audience. Answer: the producers attempted a fix with a new staff hiring in a realityesque show manner. In my minds eye I could see Hugh on water skis staring at the shark before him. Having experienced organ explosions first hand I don't wish it on Hugh, who is a decent actor, his producers on the other hand...

  2. Right on. Hugh Laurie is voicing a character (Dr. Cockroach, Ph.D.) in DreamWorks' upcoming Monsters vs. Aliens, which looks very promising.
